LogicLevel Privacy Policy

1. About LogicLevel

LogicLevel is an IQ-style reasoning and practice app. Assessment progress, answers, results, practice history and settings are kept locally on the Android device. The app has no StarSpun account, advertising, behavioural analytics, cross-app tracking, remote leaderboard or StarSpun cloud save.

LogicLevel is a practice and entertainment product. It is not a clinical, diagnostic, educational-placement, recruitment or other high-stakes assessment.

2. Information kept on the Android device

Depending on use, LogicLevel's local database and Android app storage may contain:

• assessment answers and an in-progress assessment;
• completed results and LogicLevel scores;
• Practice and Daily practice history;
• question-exposure records used for local question selection;
• display, motion and accessibility preferences;
• the optional Daily practice reminder preference and Android reminder schedule;
• local data-deletion and export-coordination records; and
• the access state relevant to the installed build.

StarSpun does not receive this information merely because it is stored on the device. LogicLevel disables Android cloud backup and device transfer for its private files, databases and preferences.

3. Information sent off the device

LogicLevel does not automatically send assessment answers, scores, results, practice history, settings or other local app records to StarSpun, an advertising network or an analytics service.

There is no StarSpun app server, remote analytics, remote logging, Crashlytics, cloud save, Play Games Services or remote leaderboard in the audited Android builds. The app contains no advertising provider and requests no advertising identifier.

Opening a privacy, terms or support link sends an ordinary browser request to the linked website. Choosing an export creates a temporary file for the Android share sheet; the user decides which destination, if any, receives it. Google Play and Android separately process app download, licence, device, store-account and platform information under their own terms.

4. Closed-test and public access models

Current Android closed test: the complete assessment and practice experience is included locally. It has no paywall, active purchase, subscription, sponsored-access route or advertising route, and it does not call Google Play Billing to purchase or restore access.

The closed-test binary retains a dormant Google Play Billing bridge and billing permission for the separate public-release architecture. They are not used by the full-included closed-test route.

Planned public Android release: the app is intended to offer a six-question unscored preview and one optional, non-consumable Google Play purchase called Full Assessment & Practice. That purchase permanently unlocks the paid content for the Google Play account used to buy it. It is not a subscription. This public commercial build is not yet released.

5. Google Play purchase processing in a commercial build

If the installed build displays the Full Assessment & Practice purchase, Google Play supplies the product identifier, localised price or offer, purchase state and purchase-token ownership needed to offer, complete, acknowledge and restore the purchase. StarSpun does not receive the user's card number, bank details or Google password.

LogicLevel keeps a minimal entitlement cache on the device and checks Google Play for current ownership when the store is available. There is no StarSpun account and no StarSpun-operated entitlement server in this design. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the local entitlement cache but does not erase the Google Play purchase; it can be restored using the same Google Play account.

Google may provide StarSpun with sales, refund, tax and transaction-administration reports through Play Console. Those reports are separate from LogicLevel assessment and practice information.

6. Exports and sharing

An export is created only when the user requests it. A result export contains a structured summary and deliberately omits question text, answer keys and the protected assessment route seed.

On Android, LogicLevel writes an export temporarily to app cache and passes it to the Android share sheet. It attempts to remove temporary export files after sharing and again at next app start after an interruption. The chosen destination controls any copy the user sends. StarSpun does not receive an export unless the user deliberately sends it to StarSpun.

7. Optional local reminders

If a user enables Daily practice reminders, LogicLevel asks for Android notification permission and schedules a repeating local notification for 09:00 in the device's current time zone. The notification is generated on the device. The app does not register a remote push token or send the reminder preference to StarSpun.

The reminder can be disabled in LogicLevel or Android settings and may be cancelled if the required local app state is no longer available.

8. Local retention, export and deletion

Assessment and practice records remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears LogicLevel's Android storage or removes the app. Display and accessibility preferences remain until changed, storage is cleared or the app is removed.

Delete assessment data removes detailed assessment and practice records, an in-progress assessment, results, question-exposure records and temporary export residue. It intentionally preserves ordinary display and accessibility preferences. Clearing all Android app storage or uninstalling is required to remove all local settings and coordination records.

Exporting creates a separate copy under the user's control and does not delete the local result. LogicLevel cannot delete a copy after the user sends it to another app or service. Because StarSpun does not hold the local assessment records, it cannot retrieve, export or erase them remotely.

9. Support, tester administration and the website

If a person contacts StarSpun, joins a closed test, submits feedback or makes a privacy request or complaint, StarSpun receives the information supplied. This may include an email address, Reddit username, Android device model/version, chosen test apps, participation dates, message, screenshot or attachment. LogicLevel does not send this automatically.

Ordinary support correspondence is normally retained for 12 months after the matter closes unless a dispute, security incident, legal claim or legal obligation requires longer. Closed-tester administration records are retained while needed to operate and evidence the test and meet release requirements, then deleted or minimised.

The StarSpun website uses no advertising, behavioural analytics or marketing cookies. It is delivered using Cloudflare, which may process standard connection and security information such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information.

10. Purposes, recipients and international processing

Local LogicLevel information is used only to provide requested app functions and remains under the user's device control. Support and tester-administration records are used to run the test, answer requests, diagnose problems, protect the product, keep appropriate records and meet legal obligations.

The app does not share local assessment or practice records with StarSpun service providers. Google Play and Android process distribution, device, licence, purchase and platform information under their own privacy terms. Cloudflare and StarSpun's support-email provider process the limited information needed to deliver the website and support service.

Where a provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom, StarSpun uses the contractual and transfer safeguards required by UK data-protection law.

11. Security, children and rights

LogicLevel minimises data, keeps assessment records local, disables Android backup and device transfer for private app data, uses app-private storage, limits exports to user action and attempts to clean temporary export files. During an assessment, it also uses an Android privacy-screen control to reduce screen capture and recent-app preview exposure. No technical measure is infallible.

LogicLevel is intended for older teenagers and adults and is not directed specifically to children under 13. It has no account, social feature, chat or behavioural advertising profile.

Depending on the circumstances, a person may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information held by StarSpun, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. These rights apply to information StarSpun actually holds; local-only LogicLevel records remain under the user's device control.

12. Changes

This policy will be reviewed before a release adds or enables a subscription, sponsorship, advertising, connected service, cloud save, remote diagnostics, analytics, new permission or different target audience. The public commercial build, Google Play Data safety answers and purchase testing will be checked together before the production release is submitted.
