Rivetwing Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Rivetwing handles information. It distinguishes information kept locally by the app from information handled separately by an app store, website host or support provider.

2. Information kept on the device

Rivetwing uses local storage to provide the game and remember choices. This can include:

• mission and campaign progress;
• scores and locally earned ship or mission unlocks; and
• audio, control and accessibility settings where enabled.

StarSpun Labs does not receive the locally stored game information merely because it exists on the device.

3. Information sent off the device

The current game does not send gameplay, progress, settings, scores or other local game records to StarSpun Labs, an advertising network or an analytics service. It has no advertising SDK, behavioural analytics, crash-reporting service, remote logging, StarSpun cloud save, Play Games Services or remote leaderboard.

The operating system may include eligible app data in a device backup or transfer if the user has enabled that feature in their Apple, Google or device settings. That is platform processing, not a StarSpun cloud-save service.

4. Purchases and app-store processing

Rivetwing has no in-app purchase, subscription or in-app billing screen. Google Play or Apple may require an upfront store purchase, or may provide the game without charge to an approved tester or promotion recipient.

The app store processes store-account, payment, tax, refund, download and licence information under its own terms and privacy notice. StarSpun Labs does not receive a user's payment-card number, bank-account details or store password through the game. The store may provide StarSpun Labs with sales, refund, tax and transaction-administration reports. Those reports are separate from gameplay information.

5. Support messages and the policy website

If someone contacts StarSpun Labs for support, a privacy request or a complaint, we receive the email address, message, attachments and any device or app details that person chooses to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, medical records or other information that is not needed to deal with the request.

We use support information to answer and administer the request, diagnose reported problems, protect the product and meet legal obligations. We normally retain support correspondence for 12 months after the matter is closed. We may retain it for longer where reasonably necessary for a dispute, security incident, legal claim or legal obligation.

The StarSpun website uses no advertising, behavioural analytics or marketing cookies. It is hosted using Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard connection and security information, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information, as needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site and meet its legal obligations.

6. Purposes and UK lawful bases

Local game information is used only to provide the game functions requested by the user and remains under the user's device control.

Support and service administration rely on StarSpun Labs' legitimate interests in supporting the product, preventing abuse and keeping appropriate records. Contract may also apply where a request concerns a purchased product. Legal obligations and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims apply where necessary.

Website connection and security information is processed for the legitimate interests of operating and protecting the public website.

7. Sharing and international processing

The game does not share local gameplay, progress, score or unlock information with StarSpun Labs or its service providers.

Apple and Google process app-store, payment, device and platform information under their own privacy notices. Cloudflare and the support-email provider process the limited information needed to provide those services to StarSpun Labs.

Where a service provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom, StarSpun Labs uses the contractual and transfer safeguards required by UK data-protection law.

8. Retention and deletion

Local game information can be removed using an in-app reset where available, by clearing app storage, or by deleting the app. A platform backup may retain an eligible copy until it is managed through the relevant Apple, Google or device account.

Because StarSpun Labs does not receive the local game records, it cannot retrieve, export or erase them remotely. Support and website information is retained as described above or for the period reasonably required by the relevant service provider to operate and secure its service.

9. Security

Rivetwing minimises data, keeps game records local and avoids unnecessary networked services and SDKs. StarSpun Labs restricts access to company accounts, source code, signing material and support systems. No technical measure is infallible, so users should protect their devices and review their platform-backup settings.

10. Children and target audience

Rivetwing is a general-audience action game and is not directed specifically to children under 13. The Google Play target audience is ages 13 and over. The game creates no StarSpun account and sends no gameplay information to StarSpun Labs.

If a child needs support, a parent or guardian should contact StarSpun Labs and avoid including unnecessary personal information.

11. Data-protection rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, a person may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information held by StarSpun Labs, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. These rights apply to information StarSpun Labs actually holds; local-only game records remain under the user's device control.

Send a request to contact@starspunlabs.com or use the data-request route. A complaint may be submitted through the complaints route or directly to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. A person does not need to complete StarSpun Labs' process before contacting the ICO.

12. Changes and contact

This policy's effective date will be updated if a material data practice changes. A future release that adds an account, connected feature, analytics, advertising, remote diagnostics, cloud save, remote leaderboard, purchase-validation server or new permission will require a fresh privacy and store-declaration review before release.
